Maximum Zero Fuel Weight Increase for Avanti II's and EVOs??

In the last month or so, I've seen an AFM update that shows a MZFW increase to 10,200 lbs for S/N 3019 and above. So it looks like any new aircraft leaving the factory will have this updated MZFW. This is up from 9,800 lbs. It also mentions "Applicability: Airplanes from MSN 1105 and up installing Mod. 80-1338 'Maximum Zero Fuel Weight increase to 10,200 lbs.'". So perhaps Piaggio is going to provide an SB for Avanti II's and EVO's to increase the MZFW. I'm not sure what Mod 80-1338 includes (or would cost), but I assume there is some structural reinforcing. This might be quite useful to many operators. I know it would be for us.

AFAIK and IIRC it requires some structural reinforcing of the wings roots.
Of course the MTOW is unchanged.
As we say here, dealing with weights is always a "short blanket" ... if you cover your feets you'll end with bare shoulders!

I like your short blanket analogy Daniele

. It is true, but for short trips where you don't need full fuel, it gives you a bit more useful load. It would come in handy for our 1.5-2hr legs.
